We keep things simple. When you sign up for our newsletter, we ask for your email address and first name. That's it. No phone number, no mailing address, no credit card, no account creation. Just enough to say hi and let you know when the next run is happening.
Your email and name are used for one thing: sending you updates about Up & Run Club. That means run announcements, route details, post-run recaps, and the occasional club news. We won't send you marketing from other companies, sell your information, or use it for anything beyond keeping you in the loop about our runs.
Nobody. We don't sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone.
Our newsletter is powered by Buttondown, which processes and stores your email on our behalf. They don't use your data for their own purposes. You can read Buttondown's privacy policy for the full details.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how people use our site (things like which pages are visited most). It's cookie-free and privacy-friendly — it doesn't collect any personal data, doesn't track you across sites, and doesn't use cookies or fingerprinting. We see aggregate numbers, not individual visitors.
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you're out — no guilt trip, no “are you sure?” screens, no waiting period. If you ever want to come back, you can re-subscribe anytime on our site.
If you'd like us to delete all the information we have about you, just send an email to upandrunclub@gmail.com and we'll take care of it. We'll remove your data from Buttondown and confirm once it's done.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, reach out at upandrunclub@gmail.com. We're two college students, not a corporation — we'll actually read your email and write back.
